Belgium D Type Visa Validity

Dear members,

I am in the process of relocating to Belgium on a Work permit and D type visa, I would like to know the validity of D Type visa?
Does the validity start from the date of arrival in Belgium or from the date of issue of the visa?
After arriving I have to register at the local commune.For this do I need to provide a lease document or will the temporary accommodation provided by my employer suffice the purpose?

The validity of the visa is printed on the visa sticker and only this is counting.
The employer will give you something in writing if he provide the accommodation.

I am actually employed in U.A.E and my present work permit Residence visa expires at the end of November.For me to apply for Belgium visa is it necessary to have at least three months of valid residence period in U.A.E on my present visa?
That will actually pose a great obligation to me as my current employer will not renew my current visa till November but I need to apply for a Belgium visa as per my new employer immediately.

3 month remaining valitidy is the schengen rule. You don't apply for a schengen visa. You apply for a visa typ-d due to national dutch immigration law.
You can apply in your home country or in the country of your continuous residence. If you stayed longer than 3 month in UAE your continuous residence is there.

Dear Members,

For my spouse visa to Belgium, it is said that I have to apply a health insurance for him for at least a period of three months, but my immigration associate has told me that the health insurance should be foreseen in Belgium.Now he is saying that he is not able to fetch such a document, Can I apply for my spouse visa with a normal health insurance policy not foreseen in Belgium? Will that visa get rejected if I do so?

Normally a travel health insurance is used for a visa. The health insurance should be valid in the guest country.
