Tier 2 General visa and part time degree

Hi All,

I am on tier 2 General visa. My employer wants me to do part time degree course.
I want to know on my current visa am I allowed to study?

Yes you can study but not full time and not that it affects your stated working hours and salary.

My working hours will going to reduce from 5 days to 4 days but my salary still be the same .
Is that fine ?

I think your employer will have to inform UKVI via SMS about the reduced working hours. You should still meet the appropriate salary requirement for your SOC with the reduced working hours. Otherwise you may be in breach of the immigration rules. Not very sure, but wait for others to confirm.

What is your SOC code and were you paid according to 'new entrant' or 'experienced worker'?

Experienced worker salary is £34,700 based on a 39 hour week, so I guess its okay to reduce the hours and keep the same salary since you will still meet the appropriate salary requirements. But I think your employer should still inform UKVI via SMS.
