How long do i have to go to uk after I get approval?

Hi All,
it is written that I can apply only 3 month earlier? what if my documents expires in Febriary but I need to be in there not earlier than June? Can I still apply in February and date in application write in May to be with 3 months but after getting my visa, not go on may and go to UK in June or July?

You only get a 30 day visa to enter the UK if you applied from abroad.

My experience is different, but over 5 years old now. I applied out of country and received a visa for 3 years (I think now they give 3 years 4 months) which did not stipulate a limit when to enter (as far as I remember)

I would assume if I had entered too long after getting it the IO would be asking serious questions about how serious an entrepreneur you are.

I am not sure how that works now that it is 30 days as per CR001, some of these visa applications seem to take up to a year to get with no visibility into when u actually get it. So when you do you must drop everything and get to the UK withing 30 days??

Things have changed since then.

If an applicant cannot travel within the 30 days, they have to apply for another 30 day entry visa vignette, costing £168.

You also only need to enter UK within that 30 days. So you can travel in and go back, settle things and take some time before actually starting the business.

To add to marcnath's advice, once you have collected your BRP card after arrival in the UK, then you can travel out again.

So I have one month only to use my visa and can not apply earlier than 3 months.

my real issue is we received TB test this month with expires in February and I forgot about that I can apply only 3 months earlier. we plan to be there ( if we get our TIER 1 VISA ) in July. so it means we have to give another TB test as for apply for arrival in July, we should apply in April and for that time my TB is expires.
my son was giving TB test for student visa and I thought it is better to do it at the same time.
