What's going on Folks?
has anyone received an approval on his citizenship application.
No much time remained for the October ceremony and it seems that the approvals didn't roll out yet.
Any thoughts?

I've tried to call them today, but no one answered.
I'd say there is still 3-4 weeks to go for the approvals to roll out. Moreover, in my opinion, this ceremony should have many applicants. Let's wait and see.

I think that 3-4 weeks is too much, they need to start sending approvals for the majority of applications by next week. As you said let's wait and see. Hope that all of us will get approvals this month

only very few people uses the forum many colleagues Chinese applied and got approval few days ago they also knew some other guys who got approval and never heard about this forum..

I think people join the forum mostly when they need help and some don't know the forum.

Some from this forum never came back due to waiting long time and more restrictions by the mod at some point .

This forum is not a credible indicator at the moment

Thanks for the information. I am not only talking about this forum, I have many friends who applied almost a year ago and heard noting to date. Do you have any idea about the timeline of your Chinese friends?

I doubt they are students as students visa is not accounted for nationality.
Most of people I know are STAMP4 and all of them are in work and not claiming any social welfare. I agree with you that they could be dealing with the applications based on the country of origin which might explain why there is variation in processing time for people with similar conditions.

Look at the time line one guy post his friend time line he got approval on Wednesday 23/08/2017
given 10 days to pay fee
Also i noted friend on mine got on 15th aug also given 10 days and one more guy here
on this form got his on 01st of aug given 10 days for fee and docs

i guess now it’s a normal procedure for them to give 10 days’ time for fee and docs regardless to the ceremony date so they might still be sending approval in Sept mid 2017

as in April ceremony people were receiving approvals till end march.
PS: this is just an opinion so don’t take my word for it.

I'm a bit worried because my gnib will expire few days before the Oct ceremony I hope it won't delay my citz app though.
do anyone know what should be done in this kind of situation?

I think that you will be OK if you got your approval before that time and if not you have to renew your GNIB. there is no other option for you.

Applied early Nov 2016 based on 5 res ; Non-Eu, however, I don't need a visa to visit Ireland, but I need a work permit to work.
Yeah I think I'll try to renew my gnib early sep so it'll give them some time to send me the approval, hopefully, the gnib won't make trouble out of it as it would be almost 4 weeks before the expiry of the gnib

Still no updates.

I saw on the timeline thread that someone applied in Dec 2016 and got approval last week. I applied in October 2016 but really feeling very concerned about getting approval for the next ceremony at this stage :(

Yeah I saw the update ... still waiting here as well, I do believe that we still have 2-3 weeks to go before they close the ceremony for more applicants.

well we will all find out in next 15 days don't think they will send approvals in the last two weeks of Sept that's invitation period probably.
I just hope they will send approval or announce another ceremony in December its very much possible :D and get the approval in that period
