Premium Appointments

Post by RoshPan » Thu Aug 17, 2017 8:06 am

Hi. I'm applying for ILR long residency. I wanted a premium appointment for any time any where next week but everything is fully booked on the system.
Does anyone know how else to get one? Can lawyers pre-book slots? Tried a few but eventually turned out as not possible. Would he grateful for any advice. Willing to pay for a slot.
As a last resort, can i post a cheque of £590 with my postal application and see if they can process it faster (~3 weeks)?
Thanks

Hi,
I think it's too optimistic to try to find a slot one week in advance. I made my premium appointment on the 7th of August and I was aiming for 6th-7th September but unfortunately it was all booked. The earliest I could find was in the week starting 11st September (i.e 35 days ahead) !
I think lawyers have access to same slots as anyone else.
If your current visa is not expiring soon, probably best to get the earliest possible slot if you want a quick decision (hopefully !).

No lawyers and agents are no longer able to pre-book slots as was the case a few years ago.

No you cannot send an extra £590 to "speed up the decision" if applying by post.

When does your current visa expire?

When do you meet the 10 years residence from date of fisrt entry to the UK?

Expires September 2018 but wanted a sooner decision. I sadly included a £590 cheque with the application before reading the post here. It has been banked by them but the £2287 has still not come out from my account. Application reached them last Monday 21/8/17. Hope I get it soon. Should have been patient and booked a slot for middle September!
