FLR M - Dependent on Tier 2 ICT longterm visa expiring 30th Dec

Post by KMVT » Sun Sep 03, 2017 1:06 am

Dear members,

I got recently ILR and trying to apply for FLR M for my husband, who is here on Tier 2 ICT Longterm visa expires on 30th Dec. We are planning to apply by premium service, however one of the rule says that to go with Incountry FLR M application he should have visa for 6 months or should go out of country and apply.

Confused as I could see people applied for incountry FLR M visa near to expiry of visa. Could you please help to understand is it okay to apply for incountry FLR M. Many Thanks.

Best Regards,
Kmvt

Could someone reply please? Is he eligible to apply incountry FLR (M) with his leave to remain is only valid for 4 for months? Thanks in advance.

You are misunderstanding the 6 month rule. It means he cannot switch if his visa is valid for ONLY 6 months or less, i.e. a visitor visa or 6 month short term visa.

He can apply if the visa he has been issued is for the duration of more than 6 months.
