Applying for an unmarried partner Visa (UK)

Post by benenyoghasim » Wed Aug 30, 2017 8:14 pm

Hello Casa, please I need your help with some information about applying through unmarried partner route. I was previously granted 2.5 years LOTR 10 years route due to my family and private life in the uk, I want to switch to unmarried partner route just to reduce the years to get my ILR, my partner and I work, we have 2 kids and have been living for more than 2 years, pls advice me on how to go with my application, I have so many documents to prove we share same address, I have just done my A2 grade 3 English test today.

Thanks and God continue to bless you

I've split your post from the other member's thread you had tagged your question onto.

If you now meet the requirements for an Unmarried Partner visa, including the minimum income level (earnings can be joint), you should be able to switch to FLR(M).

In addition to the visa fee you will also have to pay the £500 Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS). If this is successful you will be on a new 5 year path to ILR (2.5 + 2.5 years).
