English Language Requirements for FLR (M) extension!

Post by deesingh » Thu Sep 07, 2017 4:11 pm

Hello everyone, I have to apply for FLRM in October. I know I have to apply for A2 level for English language, I gotta couple of questions, my daughter is 20, she applied as my dependent. Does she need to go for the English language test? And my 15year old son, does he need to go for it?

Please reply

Thanks in advance
Dee

Did you resolve your marriage issues and is your spouse supporting your application?

20 year old needs to meet the requirement.

15 year old does not.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply
Well I am sure yet, I haven't spoken to him about it, will be doing soon. Will find out then 😒
Could you please help me with the list of documents required.
Can I apply online or do I have to apply via post?

Many thanks again.

Read the form, FLR(M), tells you what you need (English, proof of cohabitation and subsisting marriage), you also need 6 months payslips and 6 months bank statements to prove you meet the financial requirement, spouses passport etc.

Either way is fine to apply, your choice.

If he does not support your application, you won't be granted a visa.

Hello All,
I have another question.
I don't have any bills in joint name or even in my name, will that affect my appointment?
Please advise

Many thanks
Dee

Yes it will, but it doesn't necessarily have to be bills. Any correspondence with your name or joint names, date and address can be submitted.

You MUST submit either 6 in joint names or 6 EACH in single names (12 total), from at least 3 different sources spread evenly over the full 2.5 year qualifying period.
This is to prove that you have been living together and that the marriage is subsisting.

Hi Casa,
Thank you so much for the information. This is really helpful as I was worried cuz I don't have any letters or bills in joint name.
Where can I get the list of documents required for the application? Because I don't exactly know what all do I need.

Many thanks
Dee

Hi Casa and All,
Thankfully my husband is supporting us with the application 😊.
I have a few queries if you could help,
1) I have been getting child benefit for my son, for more than a year now, but I found out recently that I shouldn’t be claiming any benefits. Please advise if this will affect my application, and what can I do?
2) I can see there are some changes in the form since 4th October, I was filling form online but some information I don’t have like my information of my husband and ex partners, they need DOB,Matriage,Divorce. He got only 1 from last marriage, but not from previous one(he got children with her) please advise,
3) Do we need a sponsorship letter or a cover letter?
4) my daughter(20) is working, do we need to provide her bank statements?

Many thanks in advance
Dee.
