Booking Appointment For ILR - Eligibility

Post by kensington44 » Thu Sep 07, 2017 9:26 pm

My Wife is eligible to apply for her ILR since February 28th 2017.

I am confused on booking her appointment as it says on the guidance it should be 28 days within qualifying period.

Can she still book her appointment her visa expires in 2019.

kindly shed some lights on this confusion.

Many thanks

It would help if you could post details of your wife's immigration history. Which category of visa does she currently hold?

She currently has spouse visa which expires in 2019, but she is already eligible to apply for ILR under the 10 year route long residence.

She entered UK in February 2007 and has been studying, working and currently on her second 30 months spouse visa expires in 2019.

She wants to book appointment now as she is already eligible under the 10 year route, we are a bit confused as it says 28 days within qualifying period.

Can she book her appointment.

Many thanks for your advice.

Yes she can. As you've confirmed in your reply, your wife has already completed the 10 year qualifying period under long residence. The 28 day rule isn't relevant to her application.
