Tier 4 Visa Delay Pakistan

Post by muneebnaseem » Sat Sep 02, 2017 7:58 am

Hi Guys

I had my biometric appointment on 14th July in Karachi office and received email from Sheffield on 21st July that they have received my application. Its been 35 working days and I have not heard from UKVI even after escelation. My course is due to start on 11 Sep. Please guide me if I can do anything to speed up the process or if any of you have similar experiences.

If this is a common problem with people in the country, can we gather support and do something about it to save our careers?

I applied for my UK Tier 4 General Student visa from Karachi Pakistan.

Timeline:
24th July: Online Application
27th July: Biometrics/Interview/Documents Scanning
4th August: Email from Shefo; Application received at UKVI and is being prepared for consideration by ECO.
18th August: Email from Shefo; Sorry we couldn't make a decision in 15 working days and it will take longer.

I am still waiting for any other contact from UKVI

Course start date: 18th September

I have not called or emailed UKVI yet.
I phoned my university yesterday and they told me after some insistence that the decision hasn't been made yet.

I wasn't even emailed that my decision couldn't be made in 15 days. I called them myself and they told me that the only thing they can do is to escelate it so I asked for it and it took them 8 working days to escelate my case. God knows why they are doing this with us.

Mine said they have asked their license manager in home office and they have forwarded for urgent assesment. I dont understand if there was something complicated about my app ( I didnt get the non-straightforward email) or they are just being reckless.

I applied on 20 Jul and submitted docs & interview on 26 Jul from Islamabad, and got acknowledgement email on 3 august. since then never heard anything
where as my class commencement date is 4 Sept (today). I spoke to my Uni, they saying 4 Sept s the earliest & 25 Sept is the latest you can join. So nothing to worry, you still have enough time till 25 Sept and everyone is facing delay issue. As it's govt dept, Uni can't influence on them. We need to wait for them

We should do something like Hong Kong applicants did. We should contact our local education minister and request him to formally check with the ministry in UK.

I have been advised by one the top education consultant in Islamabad, that most of Applicants who have applied in July is delayed to due to scanning documents, there was some issue with their scanning system due to which documents were not uploaded to their system timely. Those who have applied in August have got respond but July is delay.

Gerry have advised them that bulk of passport is expected to delivered this week, may be July applicants get passport collection email this week

Mjaan did you talk to your university..
yestarday my uni emailed ukvi amd this reply they got..
I have passed the details to an Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) today. I have made the ECO aware of the relevant course start date and asked them to make a decision as a priority. If further information is required from the student, the ECO will contact her directly
