Tier1 Entrepreneur Initial Application Form

Post by Caspy123 » Sun Sep 03, 2017 11:35 pm

I have few questions while filling up Tier 1 Entrepreneur Migrant (Initial Application) Form.

My current situation: I am an Indian citizen and from Feb 2016, I am in UK on Tier-2 Dependent Visa. And I am planning to apply for Tier1 - Entrepreneur as the main applicant in the month of Sept-2017 from India.

1. In form, they have asked - Have you ever travelled to the UK in the last 10 years? When I select Yes, it asks for - Please Enter Details of up to your 5 most recent visits.
I have travelled to India during my stay in UK since from Feb 2016 in the month of April-2017 for 2 weeks.
Question: How Should I enter details for recent visits to UK?
Date of Arrival(UK) Departure date(India) Purpose of the trip
3 Feb 2016 21 Apr 2017 WORK
But how should I cover my arrival back to the UK from May-2017 till date and my next travel to India applying for visa, I cannot add future date for departure field. All fields are mandatory.

2. Another point they have asked is Please enter a number of funds in GBP(£) required for you and your dependants? , does it have to be the minimum sum of 3,310£ (me) + 1810£ (dependent)? or it could be less than this depending on our monthly calculation?

3. For Tier-2 Dependent they have asked for visa Issuing Authority. On Visa stamping, only Place of Issue is mentioned as Delhi. Does it mean Issuing Authority is High Commission Delhi?

4. Last Question:
How long you intend to Stay in the UK? Does it have to be 3 Years?

Thanks in advance for your time and help!!!

Was the reason accompanying spouse rather than work ?
If you are applying from India you should have departed from uk, so you should have a departure date.so I am not clear what your question is.

Normally it would be something like Secretary, but if the only info on the visa is High Commission then use that

If that is your intention then that's what you state.

Thanks for your reply.

I Agree, I will be applying from India but I will be traveling by end of Sept and in the form, I cannot select a future date.
My question is: to enter data for recent 5 visits to the UK.
1. Feb -2016 to Apr-2017 <-- I have added this row which covers my travel from the UK to India
2. May-2017 to Sept-2017(future dates are disabled) <-- How should I cover up this entry as they are not allowing me to enter a future date.

"What monthly calculation ?"

In application guidance, they say the main applicant should have a min balance of 33100£ and to support dependent should have 1810£ balance in the account.
My question: on what basis should I calculate funds in GBP(£) required for me and my dependent(wife)?

In form, they have asked for - What authority issued your visa i.e. British Embassy, High Commission, Consulate?
But on the passport, just Place of Issue as Delhi is mentioned. So I am not clear what to write for Pace of Authority

This is still confusing for me. Are you trying to apply "from India" but actually from the UK ? That is not really applying from India - it is applying from the UK. And I am not sure that would be a valid application even.

So, your question is regarding the exchange rate. As the guidance states, they use the exchange rate on the date of application based on a specific site mentioned in the guidance

You can say British High Commission, Delhi. This is the not the one that will cause your application to be accepted or rejected

Apologies for my complex writing.

This is still confusing for me. Are you trying to apply "from India" but actually from the UK ? That is not really applying from India - it is applying from the UK. And I am not sure that would be a valid application even.

I came to UK in Feb 2016.
Till date, I have travelled to India only once i.e. in April-2017 and came back to UK in May -2017 after 2 weeks of stay in India.
I will be travelling to India in few days(say 21 Sept 2017) to apply for Tier1 Entrepreneur Visa.

Question: For this how would you suggest me to fill up, my recent visits to the UK in past 5-year in below format?
Arrival date | Departure Date | Reason

Note: Cannot select future date for Departure date field

Please ignore my calculations, Lets me keep this simple, How would you suggest me to calculate - Amount required for me and my dependent, If I am applying from outside UK (from India)?

Thanks for your patience :)

1. I believe the reason you can't fill a future date is because UKVI is not expecting you to make the application when you are in UK. So, if you are travelling on 21st September, make your application once you are out of the country. You can't apply to switch to T1E from within the UK
2. Maintenance fund is £3,310 for yourself and £1,890 for each dependant, as you will be applying from outside the country

Tier 1 - Entrepreneur Visa initial application - funds

Post by Caspy123 » Sat Sep 09, 2017 5:10 pm

Hi Team,

I am applying for Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa (intial application) and I have a query with regards as what proof of document is required to claim below attributes?

1. financial institution is regulated(25 pts).
Would providing a copy of Financial Service Register copy of UK Banks from https://register.fca.org.uk/ suffice? any other documents required?

2. Funds are disposable in the UK(25 pts)
Funds are available in personal bank in UK, I am providing 3 months bank statement depicting funds are available in UK. Do I need any other documents to prove funds are disposable in UK?
