Hi everyone I'm a family member (Trinidadian )of an EEA national (Slovakian national)
We applied online and used the passport return service .We applied as a family, two adults and a child.

Online Application Sent: 09/07/2017
submitted via passport return service : 12/07/2017
Application Received:13/07/2017
Payment taken: 10/07/2017
Passports requested back: N/A
Passports received: N/A
PR Date:
PR Received:

Confirmation email by HO for my husband and daughter only 01/08/2017
Phoned Euro contact on 16/08/2017 to request my confirmation email ut was told i have to wait for the Biometrics letter that could take up to 8 weeks . Called again on the 21/08/2017 ,and send an emailed them on 22/08/2017 was told i should get it soon .

Confirmation of application email for me : 22/08/2017 sent to my husband's email
Biometrics letter received on 25/08/2017 dated 19/08/2017 done it on the 26/08/2017.

During this time my work have been asking me about my status and said i would be out of a job if i do not have a letter to prove i can work while my application is being decided.

I phoned them on the 04/09/2017 and again on the 06/09/2017 as my employer check on the website they provided said i was not able to work,I mentioned to them that this was incorrect as i get the same rights as my EEA family member while my application is being decided,i was put on hold and given an email address to email someone,I did and had an automated response that said someone will get back to me within the next 21days .

Today home office emailed my employer saying i can work while my application is being decided and I have no restrictions .I know this is God as i have been praying the whole time ,my employer gave me a copy of the email they got from the home office ,i have yet to receive a letter from them directly.
My last EEA residence took 3weeks as i applied outside the uk , now i wait while my application is being decided , lucky for me i have my passport and being a Trinidadian i can still travel to European countries without a visa .

Hope this help someone ,now the waiting begin .Strangely enough I'm not worried .
update C.O.A letter received on 08/09/2017 dated 04/09/2017

Hi guys
I wonder if you can help me again?
I applied for residence card as eea national. Home office sent me the documents, the concierge of my building signed for them but I never received them. I understand my documents are gone but how can I request a second residence card? Has this happened to anyone? Will this interfere with getting a bristish passport in the future? I have been crying non stop.

Same thing happened with me JOCV..i applied Efm application june 2016.recieve COA with right to work on 13 september 2016 after that nrver heard anything from home office..From march 2017 i was trying to chase home office but never get any response from them.In May i checked online and it was saying decided on 18th of January 2017..on 3rd of August receive a cal from home office she gave me a royal mail tracking number .i checked on Royal mail website and it was showing my post was delivered to my solicitor's previous address on 20th of January 2017.he changed his office address in December 2016 and wrote a letter to HO about This. but i think home office didn't update in their system and they sent to my solicitor's previous address. Now my solicitor is abroad for some reasons. i call home office, sent a email and a letter as well in 2nd week of August to ask a copy of my decision letter but still waiting for any response. i checked with his previous address and neighbours but nothing positive. It's very frustrating situation. don't know what to do. .I don't know what is my legal status now. .

I commiserate with your problem.
I suppose by now you have already applied and received a replacement passport.
You can write a LETTER explaining your situation and apply for a duplicate (replacement) residence document. It will not interfere with your application for UK nationality nor your later application for a UK passport. However do act on this immediately as the whole process will take a long time.

Hello

I have applied for a PR residence at the end of June as a EU citizen, but still waiting for the decision. My wife will need to apply this month for he PR as a non-EU citizen. Does she need to send all my documents again with her application or can she send a letter giving the details of my application instead so they can check for her application as well??? Very confusing, anyone had this issue before? We do not know what to do.

Thanks everyone

Did your solicitor show you any evidence that he informed HO about the change in his address? DEFINITELY NOT. He is only passing the blame on to HO. Your solicitor has been abroad since May if I remember rightly and you are waiting for his return and in the mean time I do hope you are trying to get duplicate copies of those documents that you can get a duplicate copy of. The solicitor will do NOTHING so dont waste time waiting for him. Act on your own and immediately.

You will require your P45s/P60s when you apply for nationality. These you probably wont get from your employer. You need original documents proving you were employed so that may be a difficulty. Also you need to provide evidence that you were resident in the UK for the last 5 years. Bank statements kind of documents are not accepted. You need letters from government departments which you probably sent out with ur PR application. Try garnering as many duplicates as you possibly can.

Application reposted on :10/07/17
Received by UKVI/HO on : 11/07/17
Payment taken on :12/04/17
Confirmation E-mail with Case ID - 11/08/17
Bio letter received on :14/08/17 (dates 10/08/17)
Biometrics Enrolled on : 15/08/17
COA With Work :
COA Without Work :14/08/17 (dated 10/08/17)
Resident Card Received on :???
Documents Returned on :???

Coa is arrived same day than the Bio letter... and the COA without work reason:
-not provide original documentation for all of the following: sufficient evidence of your sponsor exercising rights.

They have all our documents in original... the only things they don't have is my blood test...

I assume your sponsor's application has not been decided. You have sent another application. The new application cannot have original documents as they are submitted with husband's application. They do not refer to another application as they have been submitted separately.
HI jitk1,

They send back both our applications and all the picture were missing ( even if in the reason of refusal was just mine picture as support missing).
So i sent back the application in one file and they send us a new reference code.
My concern about the COA with no work because are missing proof of my rights as European is difficult to understand as is very generic motivation.
I ask an appointment with a lawyer to have a second opinion if my wife can work or not.
I will keep update when and if i will have an answer.
Seems even lawyers sometimes they have difficulties to deal with HO.

Ciao

Lawyers do not deal with HO. They claim to. They submit documents and query but they are not treated any different. Lawyers make a big show and dance about their abilities when actually one has as good a chance of succeding on your own.

Bad news for me 😢😢
I received a refusal later today and the reason is my response is my brother and he's EEA and I'm none EEA nationality the reason they refuse is last 5 years I'm not independent with my sponsor and we don't live together that's the only reason they refusing my application AI don't know what to do now I was working last 5 years and student and me and my sponsor we can't live together as my sponsor is married and got 6 childrens and he's house is 3 bedrooms it's to small for them but I also included my application my sponsor ID and his last 5 years proof work bills everything.
Please is there anyone who can give me best advice what to do now. I really need help the Home office they only give me 14 days to appeal to the decision or make new application. Please give me your best advice.

You have come back with another ID now. One was sharmk I remember. Same old story, your BRP has your fathers name as middle name and passport doesnt.
Well nobody here knows the answer to your question. Do you even know the procedure to change the name? NOBODY here does know these details but you incessantly keep asking questions. Your question should be directed to HO> Call the number and only they will be able to tell you.

It's saying I should receive my decision with in next 10 working days.
I hope it will be good news!
All process takes me 3 months and 3 weeks!!
Thank you all .

Your explanation is very confusing. You first say " I'm not independent with my sponsor and we don't live together". How would you be independent and live with your brother?
