Spouse VISA UK - Planning

Hope all are well, long time no see I am bit selfish and only coming back when I need help.

- My brother (British) is getting married in Dec to an Indian Citizen in India
- Question about Accommodation
- I am the owner of the house
- My brother is living me along with ou parents
- There is no issues with overcrowding
- The Mortgage is on my name
- My brother is paying £900 monthly as rent to me directly - no paperwork
- I will provide the no objection letter and confirm that the rent amount will not increase
- Do I need to provide my bank statements and proof of income etc as well?
- Anything else we need to include in support of the Accommodation?

- English language requirements
- I read through the forum and understand that doing the below test would be best:
- IELTS for UKVI (scroe 4.0 - B1)
- Will it be Valid for Entry Clearance (first Spouse VISA)?
- Will it be valid for FLR (it would have expired by then)?
- Will it be valid for ILR as well (it would have expired by then)?

English Language issue is now clear to me, we are going for IELTS for UKVI General Training. Please if someone can comment on the accommodation question, that would be great.

- There is no issues with overcrowding - You should probably submit a Property Inspection report. How many bedrooms for how many people do you have?
- The Mortgage is on my name
- My brother is paying £900 monthly as rent to me directly - no paperwork He should have something in the form of agreement if he is paying rent.
- I will provide the no objection letter and confirm that the rent amount will not increase
- Do I need to provide my bank statements and proof of income etc as well? no
- Anything else we need to include in support of the Accommodation? Utility, council tax bill

Hello again

A question has risen while filling up the Spouse Visa online application regarding Marital Status, and I need your advice on that.

- Marriage scheduled in Jan 2018
- Planning to submit all my documents 2 days after Marriage
- I am filling up the application now and plan to submit it as soon as possible (before the Marriage) so that I can get VFS appointment just after Marriage
- What should I put in Marital Status field in the online application form?

Hope you guys can help me with this.

You should only complete it once you are married. You cannot state now that you are married when you are only getting married in Jan 2018.

I would strongly advice against trying to 'rush it'. The spouse visa is unlikely to be granted in time for the married couple to return to the UK together. Current timelines are in excess of 6 - 10 months.

oh I was planning on the following:

- Fill in the online application in preparation to getting married
- Submit online application to get VFS appointment 2 days after marriage
- Get Married on Jan 2018
- Submit all documents with printed application 2 days after marriage using Settlement Priority Visa

I was expecting the priority service will grant visa in 10 days.

Was my assumptions all wrong?

Even priority service visas are taking 60 - 90 days. Some members have applied in November last year and still waiting. See Spouse visa delays (click)

You cannot submit an application stating you are married when you are not married yet. Date of application is the date of online submission.

- So I will complete everything in the online application
- Submit my online application on the same day of my marriage and get the closest VFS appointment
- Submit all documents through VFS
- Wait for the Visa
