Dear all
Please could someone let me know how to proceed. I got my ILR in april and then applied for my son's Naturalisation and British Passport via MN1 form. He has an indian passport which i wanted to surrender however i was asked for his naturalisation certificate which i did not receive. My son was born in UK. I received his British Passport but didnt receive his naturalisation certificate. Please could you suggest what i should do as i need to surrender his Indian passport and apply for OCI card for him. I am still on ILR though.
Thank you for looking at this post and replying.
Thanks
Vivek

How did you apply for passport without the naturalisation certificate? Did your child born after you had ILR? If so, your child was already British at the time of his / her birth. In that case, there would be no naturalisation certificate issued.

If you used NCS then you should have all original documents returned to you on the day.

You seem to be missing the point of the OPs questions completely.
OP has not received the child British Registration certificate.

It might still be on the way through the mail system.
Remember the passports come from a different department.
I will try find the other users topic as he did eventually get the certificate after contacting HO but it had been a few months since the passport arrived etc.

OP has not received the child British Registration certificate.
But the child has received the passport. How did HMPO issue passport without registration certificate? On the other hand, OP stated, he / she used NCS? Confusing.

He has been granted as you got the passport. Children get a REGISTRATION certificate not a naturalisation certificate. You don't have to apply for it, you have already done that with MN1.
See link below of the user that had the same issue and what he did to get the certificate.
