Transitional arrangements for the Highly Skilled Migrant...

Post by uk_amit » Sun Mar 16, 2008 5:28 am

Hello,

I have my HSMP approval letter with me. I am planning to get the Visa stamping in April.

I am confused after reading the link http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/workin ... angements/

Do I have to send my documents again to Home Office with the additional payment of 350 pounds and Tier1 application. Or..
Can I directly go for Visa stamping with the additional payment.

Can anyone help me on this.

Thanks
Amit

You have to send following to HO:
Tier 1 Application form
350 GBP
HSMP approval letter
I am not sure about resubmitting the evidence documents again.

Once you get the approval letter for tier 1 then you can get your visa stamped. THe best option is you get your visa stamped before 1st April. Visa stamping before 1st April will follow old rule and you will also save 350 GBP.

For UK based applicants, tier 1 HSMP has started from 29-Feb-08.
If you are UK based and have got an un-expired HSMP approval and want to apply for EC or LLR then take following steps:
1) Fill the Tier 1 (General) form
2) Pay 350 pounds fee
3) You will automatically get 75 points for attributes (age, education, previous earnings & uk exp) and 10 points for english requirement
4) YOu have to produce evidence for claiming 10 points under maintenance section.

- Job done.
