Spouse visa financial requirement

Post by zohaabishrat » Thu Aug 31, 2017 12:05 pm

Hi I am sponsoring my wife and have been working for well known retail since 2014. I work on hourly rate so I believe it counts as non salaried employment. Let me know if I am wrong.

My earnings
9 march - £851.73
6th April - £1363.64
4th may - £1573.79
01 June - £2181.49
29 June - £1641.21
27 July - £1634.50
24 aug - £1634.50

I am not sending the payslip for march as I was promoted and started earning high from April but march pay still coming in statement. Will this cause any problem? Also there is no option for non salaried on appendix 2. So how will they know its non salaried. I am on hourly rate plus I get paid for overtime and have to clock in and out.

Also in the form 3.20 what was your sponsor total income before tax from the salaried employment in the last 12 months? How will I work this out? There is no option for non salaried. Only for salaried employment on the form. Please advice as I am about to make an application.

Yes don't send the March payslip because until April you got 6 months payslips which showing sufficient earnings to meet financial threshold. I think on the form there is no separate section for non salaried wages but you can calculate the annual wages to write at section 3.20 by using following formula.
Total of last six months wages/6×12= annual wages.

What about if I send the statement showing my march pay? Will this affect anything? I am only sending payslips April to August. Will they count the income even if payslip not attached?

The display of March wages in statement won't have any affect since your last 6 months earning is sufficient and you are attaching such 6 payslips. For safe side in additional information section of form/covering letter show to caseworker as how you meeting financial threshold.

Hi,

I am not sending March payslip, but I am attaching 7 payslips as I get paid 4 weekly. Attaching 6 payslips means I am only attaching 24 weeks payslip.

6th April - £1363.64
4th may - £1573.79
01 June - £2181.49
29 June - £1641.21
27 July - £1634.50
24 aug - £1634.50
22 sep - £1478.89

The formula I need to show total divide 24/28 multiply by 52 = total year income
To prove 26 weeks(6 months) £1478.89/2 then add the rest of the months divide by 26 multiply by 52.
Is this correct?
Also I paid priority service, how will home office know that I paid priority.

You have to convert weeks into months. Usually a year has 52 weeks and 6 months have 26 weeks. Therefore, you need to attach 26 weeks wages and have to convert it into 6 months. Following formula which is mathematical one can convert it.

Total of 26 weeks wages/26×52= Annual wages

Then convert it in months.

Annual wages/12×6= total of 6 months wages.

Whichever method (months/weeks) is being used but most importantly the annual gross wages must meet threshold.
