Download Biometric Enrollment Letter

Hi All,

Can someone please give me suggestion for below if you have faced it?

I have recently (28th Sept) applied for Tier 2 Extension in online and after the final payment I was able to download Biometric Enrollment Letter as well. So, the question is
Can I go to PostOffice to enroll my Biometrics with the downloaded letter?
or
Do I need to wait for a new Letter from UKVI?

What do you mean 'download' letter?

HO posts the letter to you about a week or two after your application.

When I did apply last month, did not get downloadable bio enrollment form.
If this is a new thing and has a barcode for a post office, why don't you check with the post office?
Moreover, there should be clear instructions what to do next.

Yes, I am also thinking whether UKVI introduced a new feature. Instructions (after payment) in What to do next column specifies two things
1. Send check-list and documents
2. Have bio enrollment

Yes, The downloadable bio form has bar code in it. Anyway i am going to Post Office Tomorrow for the enrollment with the downloaded bio enrollment form and then let you guys know.

Yeap, I'm in the same situation as you. I applied and they allowed me to download and print the form. I went to the post office to register my biometrics and now I received another officer letter from home office asking me to register biometrics (i believe this is the letter that they will send to everyone). However, I now have a case reference number which is different from my unique application number found on the letter i downloaded.

Does anyone know how i can contact them to check if my bio metrics were already registered the first time? I dont want to end up paying twice.

Ohh UKVI again sent Bio enrollment letter?

Today I went to Post Office with downloaded bio letter and registered by details.

@Shadydrive: looks like you and me are exactly in same situation. Have you tried calling UKVI regarding this?

Yea we are in the same situation.

I have tried to call them but am unable to get through as it has not been 8 weeks yet and the automated phone system does not let me connect.

Does your employer have any contacts with Home office? Maybe they can ask them and let us know?

Its a really annoying situation!

Have you tried to go to Post Office and then ask the situation?

By the way, when did you apply for the VISA? and how long it has taken to receive bio letter from UKVI?

I dont see the point of speaking to the post office as they will not know what to do - I believe their job is only to take the biometrics.

I applied on the 18th, printed out the letter and did my biometrics on the 21st. I then received the letter on the 28th.

What do you plan on doing?

I yet to receive another bio letter from UKVI. If I receive it then I am planning to check with Post Office but I don't know whether they can provide any information?

Hi nagarjuna04, I have applied yesterday and now confuse whether to go to Post Office with downloaded letter or wait for a new letter.

Have you done your biometric with the downloaded letter? Please confirm.

Hi, I am in a similar situation, submitted application on 7th, received email stating that "Youl will receive letter for biometric enrollment" not sure if I should wait for a letter, as per the downloaded letter, need to get it done within 15 days of application submission date, tried to call helpline, but there is no IVR option for this category.

Hi Everyone,
I spoke to my HR about this today and below is the email from HR that will clarify everyone's confusion.

Below is the email from our HR, which HR received from HO :

A MESSAGE FOR TIER 2 SPONSORS RELATING TO IN COUNTRY APPLICATIONS. From 20 September 2017, the Biometric Enrolment Letter (BEL) for your sponsored workers will automatically be created when they complete their online application. This change applies to workers applying for further leave in the Tier 2 General, Creative and Sporting and Ministers of Religion standard and priority postal applications. Your sponsored worker will be able to access and print the BEL at the same time as their document checklist. They must then take their BEL to the Post Office to give their biometric information. You should make your workers aware of the change and encourage your workers to enrol their biometrics and post their supporting documents swiftly.

No. till now I didn't receive another bio letter

I'm still waiting and it has been slightly more than 7 weeks so still within their SLA...

And 1 more thing which I forgot! If you log in to your application (where you were asked to print out to biometric letter and document checklist), are you still able to print your biometric letter? For some reason they seemed to have removed the ability for me to do it after a few days.
