Tier 1 Extension , Interview call. please advice

Hey Sanid we appreciate you must be busy but you said u would post the questions yesterday !!! I am sure we all are waiting !!!

Some of the questions which I believe were different from other applicants are below.
Answers I have given according to my nature of business and circumstance. It might be different for others.

Question - Does your business require you to register with any standard authority / agency?
If yes, details of the authority/agency.

My answer-Our business doesn’t require that but instead we have business insurance policy to cover us if anything goes wrong. (They asked my insurance details)

Question - What research you have done before starting your business?
My Answer- I have done SWOT analysis for my business & for self too, also did survey to find out current trend and demand. (They asked me for our business plan and survey reports. I gave them hard copies for both)

Question – if your employees work from home, how you track their work and measure their performance?

Question- Employees annual leave and if it’s mentioned on your pay slip. I did not have on my pay slip but on my rota instead. I provided them with the roster.

Question- why don’t you have your company’s sign board in front of your house?

Question- What measures have you taken for your employee’s safety?


My nature of business is Advertising and Designing so they asked question related to that, your might be different.

I was interviewed at the time of initial application. Now my extension application in process since May 2017 but I didn't hear till yet. Anyone in the board who faced second interview? Kindly update

I personally believe they only interviewing Applicant's who runs their business from home. its a cost effecting decision for start ups, but HO feels they are not genuine Entrepreneurs.

May be that's the one reason. I hope you don't have to give another interview, or even if you get one ..

Seems a lot of Feb (T1 Ent extension) applicants were interviewed this month. I was also interviewed last week with more or less same questions the other members have posted on this forum.

However this is frustrating that even after waiting this long and checked/verfieid further by UKVI officials personally, no outcome/decission appearently received by anyone who was interviewed sofar.

You employees were present during interview?
They asked questions to your employees as well?
You have proper office or you working from home?

As far as I know they are not home office officials. Home office has hired a company who do the interviews. A person who was interviewed few days ago has told me the company name and it slipped out my mind.
Don't worry much. They 50 50 chances that they will come.
Make sure you have all your documents handy.

Thanks Momi, I'm not worried and have all my latest TAX, VAT and other documents handy related to company. Lets hope for the best and best wishes to all who are waiting

Hi All,

So now after a month of my interview, Home office wants to interview my partner as well. But this time they have invited my partner to their own office and provided enough time. He received an email following by a post on 18/October and interview date is on 30/October.

I’m fine with the questionnaire this time but just wanted to check if someone else been to their office for the interview and are we allowed to keep our documents with us for the reference. They allowed me to keep all the documents handy during my interview in our own office (have got office at our home), but not sure if they allow in their own office.
