CoS work start vs Actual travel Date - big lapse

Post by Adee1 » Wed Oct 04, 2017 9:04 am

Hello all,

I have scoured through the forum to find an answer but not been able to at least not with lapse I have at my hand with regards to the start date on CoS and the actual start date.

I will hopefully be starting soon (provided i get the visa) as a trust grade doctor at one of NHS hospitals.

My CoS was issued on 21st July 2017.
The start date mentioned on the CoS was 1st July 2017. (3 weeks prior to the issuance of the CoS)

My employer was made aware at the time that I will not be able to start until the beginning of november and they are okay with it. Keeping in mind the 30day period to travel to UK once the visa is issued I have my appointment with UKVI set for tomorrow and on the application I have mentioned my intended date of travel as 3rd of November 2017 and work start date as 5th of November 2017.

Should I be worried with regards to the dates on the CoS? The CoS is valid until 21st October 2017. I know the CoS cannot be changed but should I ask my employer to put a note in the CoS system about them being fine with a start date in november or maybe send me an email stating the same that I can attach along with my application?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Adeel

Its not a big issue.
Ask them to put a note in cos notes, and that should be enough

Thank you for the reply. I just got off the phone with the HR and they too said it should not be an issue and they will put a note in the CoS system. That's one worry out of the way.

On an altogether different area, the supporting documents for the dependents. I am applying for my wife and son along with my application. Do I need to attach my wife's educational degrees along with her application or it is not necessary or a requirement?

So far the documents that I am attaching along with my wife's application are:
1) valid passport
2) old passports (for travel history purpose)
3) residency visa of the country we are currently living in.
4) marriage certificate
5) bank statement from my side although I have an A-rated sponsor
6) police clearance certificate

Should I attached any additional documents that can help with the application?

Cheers,

Adeel

not an expert just a user like you.

there are 10 points for english language. If you are relying on the IELTS you gave for your PLABs then be aware there a different IELTS for visa. Otherwise a UK degree would do.
