Dear Members,
I’ve obtained my ILR through Tier 2 G last year
I have my partner and child who is still on Tier 2 G dependant visa and we want to further apply for leave to remain under same category for both
I am planning to apply for my partner extension first in PSC and then for our child through postal application? Is this acceptable?
We Just we want to ensure that my partner get the visa approved and then apply for the child application through postal.
Thanks

They should apply together. HO likely to ask why the child is not applying.
Why do you think her visa might not be approved??

Hi CR
Reason I'm asking - our child got the entry clearance visa issued in VFS India this week which has same expiry date as my wife's which is around end of next month.
But we didn't receive any notification letter for collecting the BRP. We know that child visa would be isssed for a month and then collect the BRP after arriving in UK
But the child got the visa up until same expiry date as the mothers. And worryingly no letter confirmation for collecting BRP. So we only got the visa stamped
So I thought as soon as they arrive back in UK I'll apply for my partner extension and then child

A BRP is NOT issued for visas that are valid for less than 6 months.

The visa issued in the child's passport is the whole visa, nothing else will be issued to the child.

Hi CR,
Thank you.
And as per my previous post - I'll have to apply for further leave to remain application for both, so would I need to submit only the child visa (just the Visa sticker in the passport) is enough and partners documentation along with it?
Regards

Yes. You should apply for both of them at the same time then.
