I have notice last two weeks who ever got there Visa after this 31st Oct email
Nd they were all on not straight forward mails...:
Nd very few on hold....
so still loads of people left on hold... hopefully this 3 weeks clear it

Submitted Biometrics and documents by check and send : July 12th

Acknowledged received by Sheffield July 12th

contacted them by email late August, no reply

contact them email mid September, 2 weeks for a reply saying been escalated

contacted them by phone mid to late September before email reply, said escalated,

contacted them again by phone 3 weeks later on October 6th, told a decision made October 4th and would receive passport within 10 working days, and told the "decision made email not always sent out"

received email from Visa Application centre in Hong Kong on October 6th saying passport has been received and will be delivered by courier

Passport received October 7th with visa attached. A much longer process than anticipated, but worth it in the end. I feel for all the people who wait much longer and hope you all hear news soon.

If i don't get a reply before 31st i will be turning up the the house of the manager of ukvi. Not difficult to find out where he lives. Will turn up at their offices. Time we confronted them face to face.

This would be considered harrassment, which is a criminal offence. Kindly desist from posting such 'stalking' of HO employees on the forum.

My wife received a call today from the ECO. They did a brief 5 minute interview, asking about date of births and accommodation and if she can provide more payslips if asked.(My wife works for NHS). Please i NEVER got a "not straightforward" or "On hold" email. only the 31st October email that everyone got.

What should i be expecting in the coming weeks? a decision soon hopefully?

Please can any one help me I have applied for uk spouse visa on 27 of February 2017 then it was going well after biometric I got an email that my case is not straight forward yeah then ukvi called my wife work place and then the talk to my wife in work place so it went well then ukvi interviewed both of us me and my wife they asked very simple questions so it went very well after that they escalated my case two times but nathing happened nor I didn't get any response from ukvi
on 25/9/2017 I got an email that you should hear something before 31st oct 2017
My question is that why they are taking such long time on our case many people applied after our cases and they got their visa with in 3 and 4 months please can any one tell me what I do now?

Hi, its my first time here. Iv read lots of timelines and its been helpful so I'm adding mine too. I'm at the beginning stage so here it goes:

Online Application submitted on: 26/09/2017 (PRIORITY)
Biometric done in Islamabad on: 29/09/2017
Sent docs to Sheffield on: 05/10/2017
Docs received in Sheffield on 06/10/17

I'll keep you guys posted about what happens with me. Hopefully I won't be the unlucky one that has to wait 6months for a reply. However I haven't received any confirmation from HO about confirmations of online application or documents etc. Anyone else had the same issue as me? Good luck to everyone. I have just received the second email too, first got the 31st email. now got this very dubious not straight forward email. I haven't contacted UKVI in recent weeks and the email says thanks for enquiring. So So So confused...

I called UKVI today for a status check and they confirmed that a decision has been made on my application and I should receive it in 10 working days.

Biometrics taken 27/07/2017

51 working days today

After getting 31st mail , I again got this mail. Though I did not make any enquiry after 2 September. Not sure why this message. Sometimes they claim my case is not straightforward , now they are saying queue waiting. Not sure whats happening

from my oberservation I have seem priorities getting appeceted at a higher rate or it just me,,, it could be that they are randomly scavenging through the 31st oct emails files and making a decision on them, if it is complicated case they are putting them into separate pile and sending those applicants not straight forward emails!
