Dependent Visa - Primary Applicant funds

Post by wanderer05 » Mon Oct 09, 2017 11:15 am

Hello,

I am bit confused with different answers I am getting from my friends and online forums regarding funds to be shown while applying Dependent visa.

My fiancee is in UK and we are getting married in November and I will be applying on Dependent (Tier 2 General) from India.

I am going to show funds required to be shown by me at time of application but confused if Primary applicant too has to show some funds in her account also If she gets maintenance letter from sponsor will that be enough ?

Any help on this will be deeply appreciated.

if he/she gets the maintenance letter (new one, not the one he used for his application), then no need for either of u to submit the bank statement.

Thanks for the revert iworker.

Just to make it 100%, I am the only one applying for dependent visa as she is already in UK and working over there.

And if we do not get maintenance letter is it only me to show funds as applicant or my Primary who's in UK also has too show money ?

if you do not get the letter, then one bank statement is required.. it can be either yours or your partners.
The bank statement must show a min of £630 min balance for a min of 90 days.

Thanks for confirming it iworker :D

Just one more doubt : Can sponsorship letter and maintenance letter be combined into one . ( As per understanding a sentence with regards to sponsorer undertaking care for Primary's funds within sponsorer letter having CoS No. is fine)

Any help on above, will be of greatful.

there is no sponsorship letter required.
only a maintenance letter saying that employer can help accommodate your wife, for an amount of £630 up to 1 month, if required.

Specific format for Maintenance Letter ??

Post by wanderer05 » Wed Oct 18, 2017 1:03 pm

Hello,

I was just curious if there is any specific format that needs to be provided while applying Dependents visa.
The CoS/Sponsorship letter Primary applicant has is downloaded from HO site directly.

So can we submit the same CoS letter issued in Jan 2017 or need to ask new letter from sponsorer for showing maintenance funds for Primary applicant only.

note : Dependent is going to show funds on his own while applying from India.

IS spouse name required in maintenance letter issued by sponsorer ?

Post by wanderer05 » Thu Jan 04, 2018 9:04 am

Hello,

I am about to submit my application for Tier 2 - Dependent visa tomorrow and got a bomber today by one of my friends.

My question is : Does maintenance letter require name of Dependent stated on the letter issued by sponsorer.

At the moment it has this line on it : Please accept this letter as confirmation that (Name of Sponsorer company) certifies maintainence for the migrant (Main applicant name) (and dependents, if applicable)

Does above lines makes it that I too will be taken care of for first month of my arrival to UK ?
