Salaams all,

My Husband checked up on his application earlier today. They said that the documents were still in Islamabad and to enquire back in a few days time.
Gosh, this wait is turning me into a nervous wreck; I'll need medical (and psychiatric) help by the time we get a decision.

Good luck all; sending positive vibes and Dua’s in all your directions…

Sammie :)

I think they normally refer to interviews if they dont think there is sufficient evidence or just random even

My hubby is still to hand his papers and im already stressin!!

I know my hubby really well and vice versa however when you're stressed/nervous you tend to forget things!

What if they try contacting you when your spouse is getting interviewed and they cant get through? (i do call centre work so i dont have my fone next to me?)

Good luck to you all, like jonny boy said its the blessed month of Rabbi-ul-Awal, inshallah we will all get good news :D

Yup true.

I just read my salah now and did dua for all of you.

My hubby's friend got a response within 14days and he got his visa without an interview.

9 time out of ten they dont ask for interview its only people who havent got the right papers thats why i say its best to get it all checked out by an immigration solicitor. my cousins nephew got his visa yesterday in his nad but the passport it was stamped on the 7th and he gave it oinon the 3rd. basically they wait for their to accumalte a large batch of passports and they then send it throught o mirpur or wherever else

That's not quite true. My Husbands friends’ wife was called while he was in the interview.

I guess it depends on the time of the interview. If the interview is in the morning at 9am, then here in the UK it will be 4am/5am (depending on the clocks - 1hr difference and all that), so it's highly unlikely that the ECO will be calling you at 4/5am in the morning. But if the interview is in the afternoon, say 1pm onwards, then they may call the spouse as in the U.K the time will be 9am. It all depends on the time of the interview and the time difference between the applicant and the sponsor.

So, the $64 million question is what time is your husbands interview DRS?

8.30am

Im glad that we have got a response though in 10 days albeit an interview. I'd rather go down that channel then be in the dark and waiting.

They must still be interviewing, or it must be random because the papers are checked by a lawyer and attested.

salaam to all. still no response. my wife went to see ifher passport had arrived and only a couple of days ago they said it would be around 20 days. my wife went yesterday and she said there was a lady sitting their and she said this time to her that to come back intwo weeks. my wife said to her that two weeks ago you told me it would take two weeks and now your telling me another two weeks.

My wife said the lasy was acting very rude and arrogant.

like i said in my previous post they keep the passports their for a while so the date become less and less on them. my sisters in lawa husbands npehew got a visa wich was stamped on the 7th of march he only got it back from the passport office in mirpur on the 17th.....and they only have 28 days to leave the country. thoses people who work at the mirpur gerrys office are arrogant, rude and just plain idiots ands they shoudl realise they are no more than a glorified couriers service.

Ali,

Call the BHC direct on 0092 512098999. They will tell you the latest status of the application (you need your wife’s passport number). They answer pretty quickly too.
If the BHC guys say your application has been processed and documents sent back, then it would mean that the Gerry lot were withholding your passport. In which case, after collecting your documents and passport (and inshAllah your visa); firstly, get your wife/bro-in-law to give them hell for withholding your wife’s passport, secondly, berate them for having no sharam and for being complete dumb-asses and thirdly, tell them you’ll report them to the BHC. After having their besti done in public, they’ll soon sharpen up and quit messing people around!!
