Registration for child after ILR

Post by Sambujang » Mon Oct 16, 2017 8:57 pm

Hi can anyone help please
My six year old daughter born in uk has just been granted ILR and me her mum and sisters are all British. My question is can register her immediately or should wait for 12 months. She was given five years asylum before we applied for her ILR as advise from the lawyer.
She was born after we were granted and when we wanted to travel with her she was also given five years asylum separately.

Am a bit confused because some are telling me it is risk to register her before 12 months.

Thanks

A UK born child DOES NOT require ILR to register as British. You were badly advised by the 'lawyer' and now much poorer because of it.

As she is UK born, she has an ENTITLEMENT to register as British once EITHER parent got ILR.
