104 days passed, Applied fro Madrid, Spain (26-May-2017)
Hi, Merzit

i also applied form Madrid in on the 15th of August and still nothing... When i applied the staff of the center warned me that the visas were taking much longer than usual... I also have a friend who applied in July for the EEA permit and still nothing.... I saw on the site that it can take up to 120 days for MADRID applicants.... So bad.... Please keep me posted on any changes... Regards and good luck
Hi Peter
Hope you are good, yes is very very stressful wait close to 6 months when I am in Europe and some people from Africa, India etc.. get it so quick, Brexit wanna kill me. But it’s alright, Im not complain yet. I’ll post it all days waiting or any news here. Hope you get soon and very very good luck!
This is the original website of Gov Uk where it says maximum 120 working days. If you spend those days without receiving anything, you have to call on the Government to put a complaint and there they help you.

Please check weblink removed by moderator website. They also lobby for EU nationals rights in the UK.

Probably we all can write to them & make a strong case.

What is the link, why did you delete it?

Why do the moderators keep making it so hard for us to collude and demonstrate? It is bad enough playing the Home Office teasing game.

155 working days maximum on this forum. And validity of family permit is even less then 6 months, I have worked with newzeland immigration and I don't think this is normal. They have some instructions to do it and we can't tell when they will or if they will give visa surprising fact is so many complains and escalations nothing works. Today I have received email from European commsion asking if I am still waiting just replied that i am not the only one who's waiting for this long. So let's see if they do anything but probably they will be slow as well..

Applied on 10th May 2017 and had biometrics done on 11th May 2017 from VSF lahore.

On 25th May had the "not straight forward email"

I esclated my case on 4th September and received a reply on 12th October saying they are still processing. It was an automated reply.

I'm going through really terrible time where I dont have my passport and no idea when will i receive that: -(

Have you read the forum Ts&Cs which is a requirement for all members on joining? These have been set by the forum owners, not the Moderators.
Collude = to act together secretly or illegally in order to deceive or cheat someone

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

Hi ranjuraj. I tried to put link but deleted. Just google European Commission and on home page it's written make complaint. They takes long to reply but just try every possible things that's what we can do. And nothing matters they can't refuse coz of our complains they know they are wrong anyway. Long time no news of any visa did they close shefield permanently

No they haven't closed it at all - there just was another burst of visas granted a couple of days ago, according to what I saw on other forums. These were all Settlement/Spouse visas though, not EEA FP. It clearly seems like there is a boycott of whatever's related to the EU nowadays. And the fact that we *all* get a not-straightforward email is just baffling.

And for all those moaning about their passport being held hostage by the UKVI - you *are* allowed to have a second official passport issued by your home country, in parallel and without cancelling the first one. Just look-it up on your local Ministry of Interior website. You'll then be free to travel again at your will, whilst your UK application is still ongoing.

Hi,
In your country maybe possible to get a new passport and travel but its no any law in any country to have a second passport....... yes we can apply also but must have to have cancel previous one and if make new and cancel previous and assume that all be good and when we have passport from home office will travel to uk if that what your mean than you totally miss guided the people please its forum and share authentic information not a tip and tricks.

if you guys cancel your passport and make a new one than forget about your application no matter you granted visa on that passport its very clear from your home country you are not allowed to on board even you can have prison. Its kind of crime.

Only two options you have to wait or withdraw case.

True for some countries, but the problem is you can't apply for a second passport without showing the first one. If only HO warned in advance how long it was going to take before holding us hostage, id be sure to get a second passport or travel overground.
I qualified for permanent residency long time ago, just decided to delay application a bit but then had to fly out urgently because of a sudden death if my father. My residence card has expired during this stressful time and now stuck like many others here.

Wish I just traveled through the tunnel. But how long would it take to return the passport!

Not to mention for some coutrys like mine is a 2 weeks wait for appointment and 90 working days to get the passport , since the brexit things my Romanian Consulate is to busy processing passports since all my compatriots can't use id cards anymore and they need passports in uk.So getting a passport is same like getting a visa, except the fact that you don't get rejected...

hi all.
Baig is absolutely right. In India you can't have passport without out cancelation of old one. So all we can do wait which we all doing or withdrawn.
However withdrawing the passport will not allow us to get to uk so all we have to do is wait.
About closing of shefield I was showing my anger that why they taking so long.
Ofcourse we all know it's not normal and they doing it on purpose but we all have to try everything to be with our family.

Hi All,
Home office has updated its website regarding processing time line for EEA FP. Now time lines are only available if you have made your application inside EU, outside EU processing time which was under non settlement visa is no more available.
Now everybody should understand what means by "your application is not straight forward" It seems like we all just keep on counting days or working days or years.........
