Ilr application due in 2018

Post by Shrey » Fri Oct 27, 2017 10:45 am

I am due to apply for an ilr application for myself I came to the uk on 8 March 2013 to work as a registered nurse in Northern Ireland , I switched to a new employer for my tier 2 extension in 2016 because my previous employer had lost his sponsor license and asked me to end my work with them just 2 days prior to my visa expiry which was feb 20 2016 . So I applied for my extension on 19 th feb 2016 with my new employer it was a normal application that was made and my visa only came through on the 6 th of June 2016 . I am concerned if my case for ilr application would be declined for any reasons because of the delay in the visa to arrive and that my Initial 3 year visa expired on the 20 feb 2016 . Please advice me .

No, it should not be an issue.

Would be there a problem with the continuous stay because it took 103 days for my new visa to come through and start employment with the current employer . Could it be a cause for decline please explain.

You applied for a new visa before your previous visa expired. This is not an issue if there was a delay in granted your visa.
