My application for flr; partner and British child done in July 2016
Biometric done September 2016
Additional doc requested july 2017
Additional doc sent August 2017
Online status shows awaiting decision may 25th
Since then nothing whatsoever; contacted my Mp and was informed by the HO about the complexities etc; been waiting almost 14 months now. It so hard waiting especially with a young child. It’s good to see I’m not the only one. May God help us all!

You're definitely not alone, keep strong. Entering 15 months wait now. It's like a spider crawling on your back and you need to ignore it, very hard to do but keep strong and take care of yourself and families. That's number 1 priority.

At this rate, I wish I had sent hubby back and allow him to enter in via spousal, that was my first thought but this was the direction we were told to go. He could have gone and come back by now (or by Jan/Feb 18 with any 1-year ban in place and the wait time!!!)

Was expecting docs or a refusal Dec 2016 but now, this is just really getting far too long. Have to BELIEVE it'll all be fine in the end. God Willing :)

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.

I personally think something need to be done about this waiting time. People applying through flr fp don’t earn as much as it is and how do they expect someone with a baby support the family on a low income whiles they wait over a year.

You know what Bathanza I can totally understand what your going through, but longer the wait better the chance that you will get your visa.............. if HO taking that long it means your definitely going to get visa, its all in their hands though but people who wait that long are certain to get Visa in thr hands and you know what " There's always a light after dark" don't worry your hubby will get his Visa.

Don worry not showing last updated for me either.
I think they have changed the way tracker works because they want to just frustrate us and that's all.

Hi everyone

Just to confirm, is it just mine or has anyone else noticed that the application status does not show the updated date anymore?

Dont bother yourself too much. Its same for my daughter's MN1 application. it is either a system glitch or HO trying to play smart.

Need some advise on FLR extension - meeting financial requirement.

The £18,600 - does this need to be met by the original sponsor or since partner is in U.K. Can you show partners and sponsor 2 separate jobs to fulfill the requirement?

I.e sponsor £15k salary
Spouse £10k salary

Any help appreciated.

UPDATE: Solicitor has confirmed that the HO said there is an enormous backlog for in country and entry clearance partner routes so it's a waiting game.

For an additional cost, they can write a letter of claim. Not sure if this is the way forward as I don't know what this will do.

Would it be better to wait for a decision or take them to court for unreasonable waiting now? 14 months and counting. I'm thinking wait until it's 1.5 years then move forward.

Anyone's opinion welcomed.
