Tier 2 - for a student overstay

Post by student-overstay » Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:06 pm

Hi Guys,

Just looking for some advice for one of my friend.

he has been in the UK from 2009 to 2016 on student visa and overstayed for 6 months (Long story short -he was planning for FLR o and an agent duped him) before being caught and deported on his own cost as they(HO) said if he goes back on his own cost the ban will be of 1 year otherwise 10 years.

As 1 year passed and he is now planning to apply to come to UK probably on tier 2 general or Visit visa for 6 months.

what will be the best course of action for him?

do we have any data about cases like this?

Thanks

In the circumstances, unlikely to be granted a visitor visa.

Thanks Casa,

if we apply for tier 2 and meet all the requirements is there any chance they still raise issues regarding history?

Thanks
