Did not work for 5 years

Hey guys,

I'll have to apply for ILR 10 years and have only been out of UK for 4 times for a total of about 75 days...but I have not been able to work for the last 5 years due to my wife being a doctor and we have very young children 3 and we r on tier 2 from her job. I couldn't work because she has to work for long hrs and sometimes for nights too. One of us has to stay at home with kids otherwise childcare costs get very high so completely defeats the purpose.

Anyway, how do I prove that I have only been out of UK for 20 days in last 5 years?

There is no requirment for you to be employed for 10 years ILR.

You will have stamps on passport to show when you left the UK and enter back in the UK.

There is no requirment for you to be employed for 10 years ILR.

You will have stamps on passport to show when you left the UK and enter back in the UK.

Passports are not stamped when u leave UK it's only at the entry they stamp that's why they ask for letters from employers to verify the applicant stayed in country??

Evereyone knows that passport are not stamped when you leave the UK but it is stamped 100% when you arrive in a different country. You cannot leave UK to not go anywhere.

The Set(LR) form clearly lists what you are required to send.

Ok great thanks, looking at the form it says I have to provide:

All the passports you have held during this time. If you cannot provide them all, you must
provide the passports you have together with any Home Office letter(s) or other document(s)
granting you leave to enter and/or remain in the UK. You should also provide documents of the
type listed below to show that you were continuously resident in the UK during any periods for
which you are unable to provide a passport.
Doctor’s letter(s) showing registration for each year of your stay and lettes from hospital(s)
or other local health service(s)
Council tax letter(s) or bills for each year of your stay
Gas, electricity and water and other domestic bills or statements for each year of your stay
National Insurance contribution records for each year of your stay or P60 forms
HM Revenue and Custom/Inland Revenue letter(s) and/or P60 statements of income tax
paid
Employer(s) letter(s) confirming the dates during which you have been employed
Department for Work and Pensions letter(s) and letters or other documents from other
government departments or agencies
Full birth certificate(s), ie one which shows the parents names for any of your children

No you don't. Extra docs ONLY required IF you don't have all your passports.
