50k Extension application refused

Hey Guys and Gurus,

I am updating this thread, I have finally managed to secure my Tier 1 Entrepreneur 50k Extension after a long and arduous battle. It was by no means easy, but I am glad I was tenacious and persevered with everything they threw my way. I couldn't have done it without you guys and your guidance and daily visits to this forum.

Initial Application sent in 07/12/2016
Exceptionally complex letter received 14/01/2017
Refusal Decision received 17/02/2017
Administrative Review sent in on 02/03/2017
Letter for weekly reporting at Beckett house dated 15/03/2017
Refusal decision upheld for AR dated 30/03/2017
Fresh application sent in on 12/04/2017
Fees deducted 18/04/2017
Acknowledgement & biometrics letter received today 11/05/2017
Exceptionally complex letter received 19/05/2017
Meeting with MP to expedite application on 16/10/2017
Online status updated to decided 16/11/2017
BRP Only received 17/11/2017

Hoping that the rest of the documents come through quickly. Once again thanks for all the help and support.

@bizman - many thanks for your words of encouragement. It has been draining honestly more than anything, the worry, the uncertainty it was terrible. I am not really sure what will happen with Beckett House yet, but I will show up to my next appointment and notify them of my approval. I will update the Beckett House thread when I know more myself. @jafersadeq -thanks, I have learned the hard way, trust me I will not be making the same mistake twice. Also I have learned not to trust solicitors and barrister blindly (they filled everything on my behalf and I skimmed over the paperwork thinking they know better). You have to review everything yourself because at the end of the day it is your neck that's on the line.

Passport and all remaining documents arrived today 21/11/2017

Not sure if any of this has to do with the fact that I contacted my MP, or whether it had coincided with the Home Office processing my case. Either way, glad that it is over on a positive note.

@bizman - Honestly amidst all the excitement of getting my BRP and documents back I forgot to check until you mentioned it. I checked just not and there has been no refund so far. Will update again if and when it turns up. Thanks for the reminder

Hopefully you are a stronger person through this process but there is no denying the system is extremely complex and takes its casualties incl. what it means to a person's mental health!
