Appeal won, how HO contact me

Post by ukishometoo » Tue Nov 21, 2017 5:53 pm

Finally, my appeal for the Spouse Visa refusal was allowed at the end of Oct (In fact it was allowed on the hearing early October). And I have also received the fee awarded last week. I waited for 17 months to be heard.

Now, I have few questions,

1. Since HO has already paid the fee award as directed, can I assume HO will not contest the decision? (I also checked with Tribunal service, and it shows no record of anything lodged by HO 20 days after the decision promulgated )

2. HO hotline said the guideline processing time/ reissue time is 90days maximum, will long does it normally take? I had made done biometric when applied. And any way to expediting it?

3. I did not use the representative of my Visa application to file the appeal, I filed myself with a Barrister. And All the correspondence during the appeal in-waiting was sent to my home address directly including HO bundle. So will HO sending all the correspondence to my previous representative in the future? (btw they changed office address and ceased to redirect mail a few month ago....lol) ? If yes, how can I ensure HO sending all letters to myself?

Many thanks for your advices,

Wouldn't it be best to get this information from your barrister? It would be a 10 minute conversation, he probably wouldn't charge you for that.

If it's a no go, get him to recommend a good solicitor to you.

Thanks for your reply IcikePicike, my barrister did offer his opinion to the 1st question (he said unlikely), but would be great to also have some experienced people to reply. For the 2nd Q, he think I should get before the end of Dec.
For the 3rd Q, he's not got answer yet.
