I just received an email from my sponsor with the RCOS which was assigned on 21st november.
Congrats! No I am still waiting for mine. Your's was in the shortage occupation list correct? When did your employer submit the documents?rtrtrt1234567 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2017 4:15 pmI just received an email from my sponsor with the RCOS which was assigned on 21st november.
Anyone else received their COS?
Thanks. Yes it was in shortage occupation list. I think they submitted the documents on the 3rd of November. When did your employer apply? I pray you get a positive update soon.mschase wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2017 4:20 pmCongrats! No I am still waiting for mine. Your's was in the shortage occupation list correct? My code was in NQF level 6, but not shortage occupation. They applied on Nov 1, and this is the second time around as the first one that they submitted was rejected due to improper RLMT.rtrtrt1234567 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2017 4:28 pmThanks. Did you ask your employer for an update? Could you ask them to log in and check with SMS?mschase wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2017 4:30 pmMy code was in NQF level 6, but not shortage occupation. My points add up to 36 yet no news from UKVI. Getting insanely angsty and I think the rejected application notifications will start rolling out this week too.
I am sure they are checking for me regularly and did chase them for an update in between. They have also sent across a mail to HO and also tried calling them. But still no news.rtrtrt1234567 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2017 4:48 pmDid you ask your employer for an update? I find this strange as my lawyer mentioned that in case of any missing documents or concerns - HO raises queries with the employer. This is the second time my employer is trying for rCOS and no queries were raised this time.
Any advice on what I can do?
Correct, when the employer applies for the RCOS they only put the details of the job, not the details of the person they want to sponsor. Only once the RCOS is approved, it is then assigned the individual and the CoS fee and ISC is paid.harryisback wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2017 7:10 pmHi guys,
I have a question. When employer requests COS via SMS, do they just need to fill a request cos form on portal and if asked then submit documents to HO? Also once it's approved hopefully by 11th dec next month then make the payment of COS and ISC? Am I right?
Thanks.
Hmm, my employer submitted the application on Nov 1, RLMT was conducted properly this time and score comes out as 36. Any idea what could possibly be the hold up? Employer also tried emailing HO but no revert as of yet. I'm also guessing that allocation stats for this month come out on Monday, this means that pending rCOS may fall under rejection?
Sorry, no idea what they are doing. I even spoke to a immigration lawyer at a seminar yesterday trying to understand why our application might have gone through as "outside of the monthly allocation" and she didn't know. But she did say they are super understaffed so I wouldn't assume rejection for yours just yet, especially if all the criteria were met. With 36 points I would say you should expect to get the RCoS but don't know what the hold up is.mschase wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2017 5:33 pm

So is it possible to get the rCOS even after the allocations are out on the gov.uk site for this month?aokamgba wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2017 5:39 pmSorry, no idea what they are doing. My job in under shortage occupation list and in my CoS I saw my employer mark no to the following question:abhmahaj1 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 12:44 pmHi all,
I also have one more doubt, my job falls under shortage occupation list.. I was just reading online on HO site that jobs following under shortage occupation list doesn't need a Resident Labour market test.. But then I am not sure why my employer conducted it.. Can any one confirm my understanding. This is so that I can go back and instruct my employer accordingly
