ILR for a spouse

Hello everybody.

My wife entered the UK in October 2006 and she is currently on a spouse/Partner visa which is expiring in August 2018. (I m naturalised British citizen)

We want to buy a property and lenders are requiring longer visa from my wife...
Can we apply ILR for my wife without using a solicitor/adviser? and In person?
She studied MBA in the UK and passed the Life in the UK test in 2013. We never had gaps between visa extensions. we had children who have british passports.

Why has she not applied sooner on the basis of 10 years long residence??

1. No you don't need a solicitor.

2. Yes you can apply in person.

P.s: that's why I asked earlier if I should apply via solicitor...

Assuming you are applying on the basis of long residence on Set(LR) and not spouse visa on Set(M), are you looking at the most recent form for Set(LR)?

No to this question as for the purposes of the UK Immigration rules you are NOT an EU citizen exercising treaty rights, you are only British.

We have not booked a premium appointment (after lengthily attempt, not sleeping till 00:40 every morning..)

Problems:

1). Life in the UK test Result is missing. Contacted the helpline, they said we should take another test...

2. My wife's original degree is missing... Only Copy is kept.. University website has a certifying Service available. If we attach the degree/transcripts, they can stamp it saying certified copy. Can someone help us if we can use certified copies, or shall we order the degree replacement from the UNI? As it says: (If you hold an academic qualification: Submit your original (bachelor, master or PhD) degree certificate. No other document required)

1. She cant get a replacement pass letter. She will have to do the test again.

As far as your mortgage application is concerned, you dont need lengthy visa if you get your mortgage with halifax (that is I am 100% sure about). As I got my mortgage in my name and my wife's name and at that time we both had visa for less than 6 months left
All that you need to do ia give them your driving license as your id and bank statement as proof of address. And since they wont see your passport so they wont know directly that you need a visa and they will end up missing it out
