WHM to HSMP or Workpermit

Hello there,

It is very frustrating that BIA is being totally unfriendly towards WHM holders. As most of you guys I am also in the process of switching over to HSMP, i come to know about this policy changes by the end of Jan and made my application on the very last date under old system- 28th of Feb. I don’t have any clue whether my application will be processed under the old system or new system despite having a confirmation from BIA saying that they have received my application on 28th Feb.

Now my second worry is that if my application under HSMP is turned down what are the other alternatives I may have to remain in UK. I don’t have any idea about switching over to workpermit. I am working in charity sector as a database administrator and this job is not listed in the national shortage list. Any advise on how I can go about workpermit would be very helpful.

Cases are assessed on the rules in place on the date the application was made, therefore your HSMP application will be processed under the old rules.

Have you put in the FLR(HSMP) form as well? If not you're still gonna have to go home to get EC.
