ILR for Tier 2 PBS dependant

Post by mmenek » Mon Nov 27, 2017 4:46 pm

Hi,

I will apply for my ILR this week. I am currently a PBS Tier 2 dependant, for 5 years and 2 months now.
My husband was a Tier 2, he now has ILR for more than a year.

We have filled in all the forms and have an appointment as well but there are a couple of points which I find really confusing:

In Section 5
5.4: Does a relative or friend of you or your partner, or both of you, regularly give you money?

Is the answer to this a yes or no?

I used to work between January 2015 and October 2016, when I went into maternity leave as our son was born. I didn't return to work as with the nursery costs, it didn't make sense at all. So right now, I am not working. We have a joint account with my husband. But he is not "giving me money" as if he pays me out every month or so.

We are providing all evidence from my husbands work, letter from his employer, payslips, P60s, bank account stataements, my and his ISA account statements etc. Would this be enough?

Thank you very much for your help in advance!

Answer honestly based on your circumstances. If your partner gives you money regularly then say yes, if not then say no. It isn't a trick question.

Share expensives/joint account, simply state the facts as they are.

His work documents, i.e. letter from employer etc is not required. ISA account is not required. P60 is not required. There is not income or maintenance requirement for a PBS Dependent to apply for ILR.
