I have always been a 'there is a right way and a wrong way' person. There is no shade of grey for me when it comes to things like this.

I have been the same. 'Right and Wrong' is also the fact UKVI trusts 'when it favours' them. When its against them everything is wrong. In the process of me growing up along with the harassing nature of the UKVI I have understood how exactly things are not straight forward in any areas of life. Hence I believe there is no need to be unnecessarily loyal in certain stages of life.

Having dealt with UKBA UKVI HO et al, I can say for sure that there are immigration rules and then there are people, humans, working for said organisations/depts who interpret rules according to their own understanding. Some complex cases get a very individual take on what is right and what isn't and so sometimes it is just down to a person's interpretation.

The fine line between right and wrong way sometimes gets faded very easily... and by both sides

Been there and have had worse. Here is my story:

Came to the UK in September 2010 to do masters, after having worked for XXXXX and having a stellar CV with 7-8 Industry recognised certifications.
Finished Masters in October 2011 from King's College London, got a job with my uni on min. wage. Worked for 5 months and got my PSW visa (the last batch to get PSW), then got another contract with xxxxxxxxx, as a contractor for 3 months.
Then xxxxxxxx was being bailed out so lost my job.

Had to go back home in may 2012 as I didn't go back since I came in september 2010. Then after 6 months of not getting a job came back to UK got two jobs (one with telco and another with big 4 for a year after start) while i was in my home country. Came back to UK in dec 2012.

Worked for one of the biggest telco companies for about 10 months and then switched to Big 4 as they were able to sponsor my tier 2.

Now, after having worked for them for 4.5 years they are asking me politely to leave with just 5 months left for me to get ILR and after having a surgery.

During the 7+ years I have been in the UK, I have made more than 1000 applications as I am massively undervalued.

The recruiters love my CV and get atleast 1-2 calls everyday!! even on saturdays. I have got numerous verbal offers from numerous companies and they all just back out at the Visa stage. I am also engaged to a EU citizen and getting married in October (plan was to get married after I get my ILR, to avoid any HO interference and nonsense of sham marriage).

So many interviews later, still looking for jobs.
All I am saying is, keep trying, keep applying. Most people will tell you the same thing. Just have to keep applying.

I have had so many conversations where I didn't even remember if I have applied for that organisation, coz like someone else said, all it takes is one application to go all the way from the telephone interview to getting your visa sponsored.

Just keep your head down and keep applying!!!!!!
Go to all the job fairs you can to, print out your CV and take it with you and see if you can give it to the recruiter present at the job fair.

Also, try applying outside london, you never know!!

Use XXXXXXXXXXX website to search for companies who can sponsor, its a much more search friendly website compared to the ukba's official pdf.

Don't worry too much, just make a habit of making 10-20 or more applications a day!!

When I was looking for job, i once applied to the entire job fair (about 300 applications) before I went there and i knew who wanted to meet me on the job fair.
People were shocked and amazed that I had managed to apply for that many and really went out of their way to refer me to other contacts, but still had no luck due to visa!!!

Don't give up mate!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Though I was hired in 2012 and had my AC back then so pretty sure things have changed now.

I strongly suggest you read the forum rules about posting names of companies and website names. You also do not have access to the privilege of the PM function.

Kindly also refrain from digging up old threads which clutter the current queries on the forum.
