Hello all,

I arrived in UK on February 3rd 2008, so Saturday, February 3rd 2018 would be the 10 year point. How does the 28 days rule work? Can I apply in person exactly 28 days before (Saturday, January 6th 2018) or does it have to be LESS than 28 days, hence Monday, January 8th 2018?

Also, will a successful ILR application be granted with effect from the application date (assuming January 6th) or from the 10-year point (February 3rd)?

It is no sooner that WITHIN 28 days before reaching 10 years residence. So anytime within the 28 day window.

Hi guys
When i was in court room in upper tribunal for my ILR appeal home office presenting officer told judge if u allowed the appeal on article 8 and human rights then home office will grant leave to remain for 30 months he said he never seen anyone getting ILR if their appeal was allowed on human rights grounds. He even said to the judge that if u direct home office to grant ILR then they might give but as a judge u cannot do that u can only advise homeoffice final decesion will be taken by home office. So the judge and my lawyer discussed that if Home office didnt give me ILR then i have to go for judical review.

Hi ,

No i havn’t yet applied for the Judicial Review as one of the solicitors i saw recently advised me that i should not go for the judicial review as my application was made before completing the “10 years” so the home office had to give me the leave to remain of 30 months only so i will have to reapply for ILR and it can be any time during having this visa .

So i am not sure what they do as they all seem right to me because of their knowledge and the experties .

I am just worried and confused 😔

Still waiting. :S
They sometimes use IHS ref number or Payment reference number(PRN), Unique application number, or Biometric Residence Permit number for tracking. Try if you find luck with any of these.

Hi,

I checked mine too. It gives me the same feedback of Awaiting a decision. Only difference is it use to give a date as 25th May, 2017 which i cant see any more. Even i applied in last week of September, 2016 and still waiting. Expedited with MP 4 times but no positive reply.

It means tracking service is useless and it has failed badly. So we are back to waiting for post everyday. Ref no not recognise means they stoped updating the services or the case workers cant be bothered with it any more

Get a grip please. It has been stated so many times that the checking service is a BETA / Trial service and it is not accurate and neither is it a 'live updated' system.

All of us who applied to HO before the checking service managed just fine to wait patiently.

Hello Admin and group members I want to know something about my case.... below are the details:

I went for my SET LR application at Croydon PSC on 9th November (10 year route)where they asked me to provide documents related to my Tier1 visa company detail, business details etc within 14 days which I posted last Monday 20th November 2017 which was received by HO on Tuesday... So I want to know how much time they take to respond as I spoke to HO customer support and the lady advised that it will take six months minimum to make the decision is it correct?? and is there anyway I could track the application progress coz she mentioned that I can’t track same day applications on the given website please advise.. Thanks in advance
