Tier-2(General) to ILR with previous breaks - How long have you lived in the UK?

Post by raghuvaran » Mon Dec 04, 2017 11:31 am

Some background about my case:
I first came to UK in 2009 on a business visa. I was here for around 3 months having some KT for a project.
Then came back with Tier-2 Visa in Feb'2010 and lived here for 8 months with 3 months break in between.
Again in 2011 I have been here on the same Tier-2 Visa for around 6 months. Then after a long gap of 1.5 years I came back to work in UK continuously from Jan'2013 onwards. So, completing 5 years now I am going to apply for ILR this month.

Here is my query:
In current version(Oct'17) SET-O form there was a question under Section-7 (Personal History):
7.13. How long have you lived in the UK?
- What should I answer here? Should I calculate the total number of months I have lived here since 2009
OR
- Should I only enter 4 years 11 months mentioning only my continuous period of stay?

I have already seen similar question asked on this forum. But there is no convincing reply for this query. Can senior members help?

Many thanks in advance,
Raghu
