Hi,
Can some one please go through and answer the below?
My Wife , My kid and My Self are planning to apply for visa's as my wife is having a valid COS starting from 01-Dec-2017 to 30-Nov-2020.
My wife will apply under Tier2 General Migrant up to 3 years
My Self will apply under Tier2 General Partner up to 3 years
My Kid under Tier2 General Child up to 3 years
Also my company may ask me to apply a Tier2 ICT Long Term visa for UK in future but it is not certain.
Therefore we have decided to go ahead with Tier2 general visa processing.
Case1:- Visa's issued to all 3 family member’s as like below and yet to travel to UK
Wife:-Tier2 General Migrant up to 3 years
Myself:- Tier2 General Partner up to 3 years
Kid:- Tier2 General Child up to 3 years
Once I get the Tier2 General Partner visa , (if my company gives me an offer to apply Tier 2 ICT long term ) is it possible to apply for Tier2 ICT Long term staff ?
If yes what will happen to my previous Tier2 General Partner visa?
In this case can my wife and kid can travel on Tier 2 General and my self on Tier 2 ICT?
Case2:- Visa's issued to all 3 family member’s as like below and traveled to UK
Wife:-Tier2 General Migrant upto 3 years
Myself:- Tier2 General Partner
Kid:- Tier2 General Child
while I am in UK , (if my company gives me an offer to apply Tier 2 ICT long term ) is it possible to apply for Tier2 ICT Long term staff from Home Country?
If yes what will happen to my previous Tier2 General Partner visa? and is there any cooling off period applicable to me to apply Tier2 ICT Long Term staff?
Case3:- I am in UK with Tier 2 ICT long term staff visa , my wife in UK with Tier2 General Migrant visa and kid in UK with Tier2 General child visa.
If my wife's sponsored company cancels/terminates the COS then my wife and kid can apply for Tier2 ICT Dependent visa's from UK? Or they have to come back to the home country and apply for Tier2 ICT Dependent visa's?
Is there any cooling off period applicable for my kid and wife for applying Tier2 ICT Dependent visa's?
Case4:- I am in UK with Tier 2 ICT long term staff visa , my wife in UK with Tier2 General Migrant visa and kid in UK with Tier2 General child visa.
If my sponsored company cancels/terminates the COS then can I apply for Tier2 General Partner visa from UK? Or I have to come back to the home country and apply for Tier2 General Partner visa?
Is there any cooling off period applicable for me for applying Tier2 General Partner visa?
Case5:-Can I apply any number of times for a Tier2 general dependent Visa?
Step1:- I have a Tier2 General partner Visa (Dependent visa on my Wife visa) and then traveled to UK , Came back to home country and applied for Tier2 ICT Log term so that my Tier2 general partner visa is canceled(hope I am correct) and new Tier2 ICT Long term visa issued.
Step2:-If my sponsored company cancels the COS(Tier2 ICT ) , can I apply again for dependent visa?( as dependent visa is canceled in Step 1).

You do realise that as a PBS Dependent, you can work for your current or any employer and do not need to be sponsored to work. Also ICT does not lead to ILR if that is your ultimate aim.
Also note that each time you switch from dependent to main visa holder and back to dependent, your clock is reset to zero for ILR (in a qualifying visa category).

If your employer is a UK based company, it is not as straightforward as you think to get an ICT visa. The usual requirement is that you must have worked for your employer in your home country for a minimum of 12 months at the time you apply for ICT visa.
If you are issued an ICT visa, your tier 2 dependent visa will be cancelled.
Yes to your last question of traveling on different visas.

Again, see my answer to Case 1 above re ICT visa.
No cooling off period applies to PBS Dependent changing to Tier 2 main visa holders.
Again, your dependent visa will be cancelled.

No there is no cooling off period applicable to Tier 2 main visa holder switching to PBS Dependent visa.

Yes, no limit on the amount of times you can apply. Visa fees and IHS payable EACH time you apply. Your clock towards ILR will keep getting resetting to zero each time.

Yes.
or i can apply from UK?
No.
Any change from Dependent to Tier 2 Main visa holder has to be applied for from home country.

Hi,
Could you please help me by answering the below query.
My wife and kid(2 years old) are planing to apply for Tier 2 general visa and Tier 2 general child visa respectively.
I will apply for Tier 2 ICT LT staff after few days.
1) When my wife is applying for visa along with the kid, is there any proof which we need show for child care?
We are planning to send her to day care/play school once we reach uk. Now we are enquiring which day
care centers are good.
2)As my wife and kid are applying separately for visa, is my consent required to send my kid with her mother?

1. No, I don't believe so.
2. Yes. HO will want to know why the other parent is not also applying for a dependent visa. Children's visas have been refused due to this. HO will also want to see evidence if you have a visa to come to the UK.
Still unclear why you do not apply for Tier 2 General dependent as you have indicated in your previous topic (now merged with this one). It leads to ILR and is more flexible.

I thought of applying for Tier 2 general dependent visa after i resign from my current company.
But my company offering Tier 2 ICT LT, so checking both the options.

You can work for your current company on Tier 2 General dependent.
I fail to understand why members opt for ICT (which does not lead to ILR) and binds you to an employer, when they have another option which does lead to ILR and the freedom to work for anyone or not work at all.

Thank You and understood the obstacle for ILR if i go on Tier 2 ICT instead of Tier 2 dependent.
