re-applying for tier 2

Post by jagadishkumarp » Tue Jan 02, 2018 4:10 am

Hi Guys,

My tier 2 general visa was refused previously cause I sat for the wrong ielts, in the letter the ECO gave that was the only section where there were comments for all the other sections the comment was either
1. points awarded as claimed (or)
2. not applicable

I sat for ukvi ielts and I'm about to submit the application again, the following are the documents I'm submitting

1. CoS
2. UKVI IELTS DEC
3. Tuberculosis report
4. Offer letter
5. educational certificates
6. Rental agreement
7. Visa refusal letter

are those enough, I realise that the documents needed are very less, also since the only reason for refusal last time was ielts do you guys think the visa will be approved this time ?
I understand that approval is not trivial, I'm just anxious.. any advise or information will be helpful.

Thanks in advance

Did you take the wrong IELTS? If that was the only reason I believe you could just re-apply with the right one without problems.

Yes carpa, I did take the wrong ielts last time. I reapplied yesterday in priority with ukvi ielts, hoping nothing else pops up this time fingers crossed!

Hi
My tier 2 visa also due to same reason. I also sat for ukvi last 6th. And planning to re apply after results came out.
For the new application you should get new COS. Did u apply with new COS?

Hi suvee,

I had to take the ukvi general again, post which I reapplied with a new CoS (precious one was marked as used) and the visa got approved.
I did not need a criminal record certificate as it was not a requirement for my SoC..

Hi Jagdish,

I will be applying for tier 2 general visa and submitting following docs.

1. Passports
2. NARIC language assessment and qualification comparability certificates ( instead of taking IELTS I have taken NARIC route)
3. TB certificates
4. Marriage certificate
5. Birth certificates
6. Payment receipt for Visa fees, priority services fee, and IHS fees
7. Education certificates

Have you submitted any other documents?

Regards

Lakshmi
