Hi family n friends
Of this wonderful site, has anyone received decision for their application as first timer for a British child in this month?
I applied in June 2017 still awaiting a DECISION
am worried and it's almost 7days for 2017 to finish.

Hi everyone
My friend got her indefinite stay today, her lawyer phoned her this morning to pick up, I applied before her so I don't understand HOW.

Indefinite leave to remain is different to the FLR(FP) applications which this topic is about. Suggest dont confuse the different rules and departments.

Hey there! Still waiting. Just called UKVI just in case anything was sent during the festive period. Still awaiting decision

I did ask the agent if they have had many complaints or excessive wait times, I.e do they have a massive back log, lady said "yes"

Read a report in the guardian about the extreme wait times for asylum cases too. Clearly the departments are struggling. Keeping positive.

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.

Strange. This makes me wonder in what circumstamce does the HO decide to grant a person who has a British parter and child, is it based on the caseworkers descretion or based on the law ? I’m just wondering why many people get granted when they have Brit wife and child but another in the same circumstance is being told to go back just like the one kissish17 just refered to.
