Tier2 Gen to ILR

I am due for ILR on 7 feb 2019 considering 28 days in advance for application 9 Jan 2019. I initially received my Tier2 in feb 2014. My wife applied for her Tier2 - Dependent from India and received it in March but travelled to UK as tier2 - dependent in June 2014. At the time of my ILR my wife would have completed only 4 years 7 months instead of 5 years as dependent. Would she apply along with me for an ILR application ? should I wait for 5 more months till she finishes 5 years and apply to together ?

She will be eligible for ILR in June 2019 (Within 28 days of date of entry) She has to complete 5 years to apply ILR. You can apply before her and she can apply once she complete 5 years.

Hi Makky, She is currently a home maker so will she require a Letter from me to help her application with Marriage Certificate ? along with other documents ? does she have to show funds for 3 months before her application ? how about 180 days absence away from UK ? TIA

You just provide 3 months bank statements and cohabitation documents covering upto 2 years showing she is living with you.

Thanks for your advise. Last one in the chain. Since her Tier-2 Depedent visa doesn't stay until 2020. Can she stay on Tier-2 Depedent visa until June 2019 and apply for ILR ? or should she change her status to FLR and go through the process after June 2019 ?

If you apply for ILR via the PBS 5 year route, she DOES NOT have to change visa category (which will reset her clock to zero). She can continue to extend her PBS Dependent visa if needed or apply for ILR as a PBS Dependent when she qualifies.
