Nigerian wife on UK spouse visa to holiday in canarys

Hello

My wife has a biometric resident card for the UK valid until 2019. I'm a UK citizen from birth. We are both in the UK.

How does she go about getting a visa to holiday in the Canaries?

I've looked for information and there isn't anything specific on where she needs to apply.

Do we go to the Spanish Embassy in the UK and apply for a Schengen visa? Or does she really need to return to Nigeria to apply?
