Post by Amit_1330 » Thu Jan 11, 2018 12:55 pm

Hello
I am planning to apply for the Teir 1 Entrepreneur visa and want to confirm whether buying an existing restaurant ir entering into a partnership with the exisitng owner in UK considered as a valid business plan for my application.

Would really appreciate all the advice.

There are no criteria to evaluate what is a "valid business plan".

But there are plenty of T1E holders who are doing some form of a restaurant business.

Buying or partnering with an existing owner is allowed under the immigration rules. However note that any money that goes to the owner will not be accepted as part of the 200K investment needed. Only money that goes into the business account and is used for the purpose of growing the business is counted for that.
My comments are in no way meant to be advisory. I have no professional knowledge of immigration. These are based on my own experience, convictions and personal interpretation of publicly available information.
