Applying for EC in Melbourne, Australia

Post by jchangaus » Sun Apr 06, 2008 2:10 pm

I have received my HSMP (not tier-1) approval letter, but am currently in the UK. I'm going to buy a return ticket back to Melbourne, Australia for a month, is that enough time for the whole process to finalise?

Also, I am a little confused, since the Home Office sites gave very little info on what is required for EC.

So here are my Qs:

- How long does it take?
- What documents are required?
- Do I need to visit the consulate?

Any other info from experience, esp for Australians, would be much appreciated.

Thx in advance.

just curious though it is out of context of this thread why you are moving to UK. People move to Oz for sun and its cheap and a better life awaits there.

What's ur point in coming to UK ?

More money in the UK for the industry that I am in; with the extra money it also allows me to travel. So the location of UK also gives me easier access to Europe and North America; flying to anywhere overseas from Melbourne, Australia takes at least 7 hours.
