Hi all
Asking on behalf of a friend...
She is a EU national living in UK for over 30 years. She is married to a UK citizen and has British children.
She is planning to become a UK citizen, I advised her to get PR first
However, she has an old letter from HO dated 1990 stating the HO is granting her in indefinite leave?
Will this letter still be valid and can she straight away apply for BC?
Other issue is how to proof she has been resident here. She never worked (she is very well off financially from her side), and needs to proof her residence without any P60's etc. She only has bank statements and utility bills, will that be sufficient? I told her about hospital letters , gp appointments etc but she never kept these letters.
Because her husband is British, does she still have to proof her residence?
TIA
