FLR(m) - Financial Requirement Question

Post by Foreman123 » Tue Jan 16, 2018 4:39 am

Hi there
I am a bit confused
The 18600 requirement is that per person or just the sponsor as my wife sponsors me and we have a child which would make that £22000 and i make over 32000. But my wife still claims housing benefits, maternity allowance, child benefits (she was employed by Sky when she got pregnant last year)and she is starting university.
In order for us to go on five year route can i use only my income and also would she have to stop claiming all public funds?
Thanks in advance

Can you give more details of your circumstances?

If your child is British or settled, then there isn't any extra financial burden.

You only need to meet £18,600pa financial requirement and either of you can prove this if applying within the UK.

Hi just wondering if the £18,600pa is before tax or after tax? and also do you need to earn £9300 for category A after tax deduction or before tax deduction for the last 6 months?

Cheers
