I have messed up my ILR and for a long time i knew and put if off. Now i have to sort it out for work.
My ILR is in an old passport.
I had ILR. left UK, reentered after over 2 yrs of absence. entered via gatwick. told the immigration officer out f uk for over 2yrs. he told me to wait went to check with his supervisor and said i would have denied you entry (but because i was with my children who were born in UK), he asked if i can get work i said yes, he said we will be a bit linient with you today and he stamp my passport. I was in shock i did not hear what he was saying. to be honest i expected to be refused, but i quickly ran out of the airport and did not bother confirming with him the details.
Do i still have my ILR or is it cancelled?
Do i have to make a new application for ILR?
This was back in feb 2014 and i have been working with the ILR
Now i have to change jobs and have been asked to apply fot biometric
I am very afraid, my fear is that i am going to be found out and could have no legal satus in UK once i disclose on my form(for biometric card) that i was outside uk for over 2 yrs
How do i check if my ILR was cancelled back in 2014 or what the immigration officer did, did he let me in on visitors visa?
Please help!!
