Hi everyone I would like to share my husbands timeline :
Flr fp 10 yr partner route (I have two children but are from previous relationship not my husbands)
Application sent : 25/3/17
Fee taken 28/3/17
Biometrics done 13/4/17
STILL awaiting decision almost 10 months

My husband applied whilst visit Visa was still in date (just) I’ve been reading that most applications made whilst on visit Visa are refused? Any opinions or info would be so much appreciated, I read this forum daily and it helps so much but also so scary reading the outcome for some of you. Blessings to you all hope to hear from some of you

Jay is right. If you check the archives for unreasonable wait, there are some who did it at the 2 year mark.

I called my solicitor for any updates, she said the recent whistleblower report at the HO showed that marriage cases or FLRFP are held back as the HO makes no money. Student and t1 are proritised.

Applied in Aug 2016, Biometrics Nov 2016. Have not heard since. MP will case in 3 months time if no decision has been made (that was Dec 2016)

We are biding our time. Incredibly frustrating that we are not able to live a normal life as a couple. Preparing for rejection and to give the HO a real case in court. After next week entering 18 month wait time. Currently its been 17 months.

No news is good news hey folks ;)

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
08/18 - FLR FP (Partner) PSC - Approved
07/20 - FLR FP to FLR M Switch - Approved, 03/23 FLR M Ext Approved.

Hi.i applied on visit visa as well (british wife and british child) on 03May2017. Unfortunately couple of cases on this forum already been refused as they applied on visit visa.did your husband applied before his visit visa expired?if thats the case its in better position than those who overstayed their visits.to be honest, in my case im expecting worst case scenario and already preparing for next move.its just the waiting game is torture.

Thanks for replying mister123 yes my husbands visit Visa was still in date only just though he had about a week left. It doesn’t say anywhere that you can’t apply on a visit Visa though does it ? I know the feeling it really is torture. I phoned home office last week (4 times I’ve phoned) and still they say the same things that they can’t say how long it will take and a decision still hasn’t been made! 10 long months waiting but it really is our last resort and only option. I just hope if it’s a no we get to appeal it

i think there is.that you cannot switch to any other visa while on your visit.but as what you've its our only option.my solicitor already sent two chase up letters to ho but no luck for the reply.

And i read an article same mentioned by bathanza, the whisleblower in ho says they are taking for granted the flr fp cases as ho is not earning money on those applications.aside from massive numbers of backlogs this one is the main cause of the delays.

Oh that doesn’t sound very promising does it. All we can do is have hope! When applying for this Visa we are literally using our last resort. I just hope we get the chance to appeal a refusal and hope the judge see’s it’s our only option. My husband got granted a national insurance number quite a while back so we thought it was a good sign, but still not heard from ho...

Fantastic news coming up from people. Those with children and status that doesn't give HO reasons to refuse can surely go for a PAP. We won't until 2 years after applying as we don't have children yet.

Husband's timeline - overstayer 11 yrs
08/16 - FLR (FP) Partner, refused 02/18, 03/18 - JR permission refused with merit
