MN1 form_EEA national_ward of court

Post by NikaVS » Tue Jan 30, 2018 11:11 pm

I would like to ask you for advice.

I am applying for British citizenship for my children who are qualified to apply under the section 3(1) - they were born abroad and I am an EEA national applying for citizenship. English court granted them a ward of court; is it right that I apply under the section 3(1) or is it any other section for such case?

Thank you for any help.

If they are Wards of Court, has the permission of the Court been obtained for a citizenship application? I can't imagine that there would be any objection, but I believe that it is required for the court's permission to be granted before the application is made.

How old are the children? How long have they resided in the UK?

Thank you for your idea. I was instructed to notify court after/if obtaining citizenship, but what you are saying makes sense as well.
My children are 16 and 15 and have been being here for 6 ys; they have already got a permanent residency card.
